WTF--
Well, consider this a call for resistance. An appeal to the brave. Imagine what would happen if you embraced the power donut, that ring of unshaved hair that clings to a balding man’s pate. Consider the company you’d be in: Gerald Ford, Ed Harris, Sean Connery, Captain Stubing—not to mention the guy radiating wealth from the next booth at the steak house.
What a pile of sh__! Power of the f'ing donut, give me a break. An appeal to looking old, tired and weak. My A$$, keeping it smooth--and loving it.

Yep, something that we should all aspire to.

There goes any credbility that GQ may have had.

Frankly, I hope the average joe keeps the donut. I like to " march to the beat of a different drummer". Sly for me is still the way to go.

Well, consider the source. This is from GQ -- the quintessential style-over-substance publication.
Their beef essentially seems to be: as soon as something is in-style, it's out of style. Makes about as much sense as everything else they publish.
Consider the source and sneer appropriately!

Personally, I think shaved or trimmed to stubble looks best. But as long as those who embrace the "power donut" don't ever do the combover, then I would say "go for it if that is what floats your boat!". But even if I grew my hair out, it would only be to the crewcut level!

I have absolutely nothing against a well-groomed ring of hair -- it is in fact the look I usually sport during the winters (though this winter I maintained sly throughout).
But that's not what this article is talking about. Once the hair starts growing out, it goes very quickly from looking fine to looking Bozo.

I thought you were a fireman, not a cop??
Razor, I am, but I try to stay one step ahead of the cops - but it helps tremendously having a location near the fire station!! - LOL
