Mustaches

So how many of you Sly guys just sport a mustache. Most of time I have been Sly, I have either sported a Van Dyke (mustache and goatee) or a full beard. Anyway, I got bored and shaved off the chin whiskers and am sporting a pretty bushy mustache. I will probably go back to some kind of chin whiskers at some point. But this is the thickest mustache I have ever grown. I am actually liking this. I know that Noodles sports just a mustache and a very nice one I might add. But how many more just sport the 'stache?

Looks good, marsh. I've sported just a mustache in the past -- but I think it's been quite some time.

Yep.
Outrageously luxuriant handlebar/English moustache.
Currently held in place with Firehouse "Wacky Tacky".

Long ago, that's what I sported 36 years ago when I got married between two full beards. Then came the long naked face era. Marsh that's a fine looking specimen
, walrus' rock.

During a couple of my clean-shaven phases, while I was in the process of shaving everything off, I left my mustache until last just to see how it looked with a bald head. It's not a look that worked for me at all.

I've sported a mustache since I first was able to grow one. However, if I had the ability I would have a full long beard. I have tried numerous times but ultimately give up. Just not thick and full enough to pull it off. I'm trying to grow a goat at the present time. About a weeks worth of growth and it does seem a little thicker than in the past. Wish me luck and patience.

Done, please remember you can go sly in 20-30 minutes, it's three months to see what a beard is going to be. It takes that long to get some idea of the density of dormant hairs coming on line to add to the growing hair and the ones at "terminal" length. A mature beard, IMO, doesn't show its real potential until at least 6 months.

I had more failed attempts than I care to remember because I was too impatient. But good things come to those who wait. I would imagine that you should be able to get some good coverage on your chin, given your thick mustache (which is the slowest-growing part of the beard for most people).

I sported a mustache for about 30 years before going sly, at which time I grew my first goat which has prevailed ...

I wore a mustache from the time I could grow one until this very day....although now it is part of my goat. I've had beards, closely cropped, off and on for years.
I only shaved the mustache a few times over the years.... usually for Halloween costumes.

I'm
53 now. Been sporting the ol' 'stache since I was in my
early 20's.
Fireman and
hairy lips just go together like
bacon and
eggs.
It's a law.
- Cap'n Noodles - Actually, the
'stache came with the nose and glasses as a boxed set. (LOL)

I've always thought a slick head and 'stache was a good look. I've tried it, but didn't think i could pull it off so I always went back to a goatee.
