wassup guyz so i stopped using shampoo about a week ago? I have always been after that matte look.. It seems to have helped out quite a bit. I don't shampoo at all anymore. And i feel less greasy and less shine throughout the day, don't know if this has been mentioned already but does anybody else seem to think that's true? Do you guyz still mess with shampoo...

I too initially used shampoo after sly-dom; then dropped it.
Just the act of putting the cream on and shaving it off cleans the head well. I never noticed the effect of a more matte look.
There are other ways to go more matte too. There is a headblade matte finish lotion or something (please chime in brothahs, I forget the name of it). It has also been said that if you rub in a little baby powder that soaks up any moisture as well. I did it, and it does achieve the matte look but makes my head feel kinda dry.
In any case, welcome to the club Jroske!

Headlube Matte. Tried it early on to see what the "matte" look was--didn't dull it to any visible degree and I found I really liked shine, so why try to dull it? Just my tastes.

thank for the tips. I do use baby powder sparingly. I want to keep a dull look because the shine attracts more attention. In that case makes the shadow more noticeable. And a shine means more grease not cool.

I'm in the "dull" camp, too and wash with a Neutrogena anti-acne facewash (with salicylic acid) and use the Headblade Matte that was mentioned above. It works pretty well for me, but I don't think anything you apply to your head (other than maybe a powder) will keep working to remove oil from your scalp continuously. Haven't tried the powder yet, but I will. I'm still pretty new at this, but it seems like to maintain the matte look you're going to need to wipe your head a few times a day to take off excess oil....

I use shampoo and conditioner in my beard, otherwise I have monster dandruff. Really tacky when wearing a black shirt. As for the noggin, shave it and forget it.

Personally, I like the shine. It sorta kills any shadow, too.
To each their own.

Me too: I'd hate it to be dull, but as has been said, each to his own...
