It's hard to say, I have heard of them using a combination of stem cell therapy with damaging the follicles, and it regrows completely new follicles or something. However, things like this take YEARS before they are allowed to test on humans so I wouldn't hold your breath.
But there is good news, you are allowed to shave your head whenever you want

Get a large supply of fresh blades. Stem cell therapy is serious hardcore medical treatment used for DISEASES. Since mpb is only a genetic trait, not a disease by any stretch of the imagination or science, I doubt "hair" is a serious and main topic of investigation.
Live bald, it's just a trait like eye color.

well imo,i think they are gonna do tht stem cell therapy quick. imagin all the money in it from all the toupee wearers and all the bald guys. im gonna shave my head no doubt, but right now im only 17 and my hair is just begining to thin and recede. i have at least 2 years before i cant hide it, but as i said im gonna start shaving it this summer. But it would be nice to have a plan b.

Yeah i agree... research is slow, and FDA approval is slow, but something with huge earning potential (like this) tends to happen a little faster...

If you are expecting a cure for MPB you are sorely mistaken. Even if stem cell therapy were the answer to stopping MPB, theres no way it will be FDA proved anytime soon, id expect 5 years to a decade before it would if they had any conclusive evidence that it stops MPB and regrows hair back.
Trust me, just shave your head. I started doing it when I was 19, you will feel a lot better once you do it

ok then,i will try to forget about a cure and learn to love being sly. only thing left now is growing out my facial hair.
also another question for u guys, is there any types of girls that are not attracted to shaven heads besides the shallow ones? im thinking tht girls in my age group will not like it.

Most women typically either A) Prefer it , or B) Don't care
Usually they pay attention more so to confidence and whats IN the head and not whats ON your head. If you portray that you are comfortable with your appearance women will find that more attractive than a full head of hair.

The only way I am regrowing hair on my head is if every razor in the universe vanishes. Just shave it. It is so much better. No worries, no more "fixing your hair". Just live your life.
