Well, either no one knows or there isn't much interest in Sports (Baseball) So let me finish this one off and back on out of here.
I do find it just about unbelievable that in just the past month, there has been two perfect games pitched, a third one that should have been, a kid that comes up to the majors and in his first big league game, strikes out 14 batters, in 7 innings, on 91 pitches, and is the winning pitcher, and not a single word about any of it in the "sports talk"
As Casey, (A nickname, BTW) would say, "Amazin!"
Any way, I'll get off my soap box here. This all time great was known by this name from his team mates and other players. Theres even a recent book about him called "Musial, from Stash to Stan the Man.
