Now I am addicted to scanning CVS, Walmart, Walgreens etc. for products...It's crazy!
Today I added st. ives apricot scurb w/ blemish control and KOS shave oil to the arsenal...
Wife took the kids out early this morning so a nice leisurely shower/shave/self pampering ah.hh..off to the home theater for some Avatar....

Welcome to the dark side of SLY Marc! I am a reformed product whore. Until recently I had drawers full of products.... but about 6 months ago I had an intervention with myself and decided.... No more new products until I used up all the old stuff. I am literally on my last tube of old stuff now.'
Time to stock up again!!!!

Well, it's time to man up with the confession, SBG has always tried to be up front with all the benefits of slyness, that doesn't say we have to tell you absolutely everything about your new sly life--so that shopping, cruising the shaving supply thing, well we sometimes forget to tell the newbies and fencers about that

--no foul, no harm though. Right?

I do not want to be a hypocrate because I am on a "sly break" you can read my current post to see why. However I to have felt that I went overboard with buying grooming products. I have to emphasize that although its true we would all like to save money and not buy compusively I think for myself and maybe this is the case with you, that you are getting a good shave and your routine is well very routine but you are experimenting and you feel you can do better. In my case I found out that using a shaving oil first and then putting shaving gel on top of that gave me a better shave, can I get more perfect, of course but I decided to draw the line. So their is nothing wrong really with experimenting at first but when you get a decent shave and your skin both head and face is to your satisfaction you should stop yourself from buying more needlessly. I can honestly say that I still enjoy going down the men's grooming aisle when I go to stores.\

You mean I'm not supposed to have 7 types of shave cream/soaps. 9 different razors. 4 aftershaves. and three shave brushes?

If I didn't have to order alot of it off the internet, I would have more!

You guys crack me up. I went sly to get rid of all the dang products (tapes, glues, adhesive removers, intensive conditioners, etc). Now you're telling me I need to have all these other things? ROTFLOL. I do need to pick up some shaving oil. But trying to stick to just headblade, headslick, and a little scrub.

I think a lot of the stockpiling of stuff is because you're doing a little trial & error. Another thing is that the guys at both Headblade and Bald Guyz have been very supportive of SBG, so the volume discounts have made it advantageous (and worthwhile) to buy in bulk.
Let's just say, I don't have to buy shaving gel or moisturizer until my kids are in college!!!!

Good to see I'm not aone

I think that the latest purchases should hve me set for a while...I hope!!!!
The KOS sahve oil under the headlsick seems to do great...and between the headsshed and apricot scrub I think I have enough scrub for a good long time

Of coure I say that now but then there's always the unknown of seeing a new product on the shelf

While I was away on vacation my sister came over to the house and needed to get something from my bathroom. She said she never saw a "man" with so much grooming products. However I want to voice again what I said earlier. The reason most of us have a lot of products is because we were searching for that right combination. I for one have found what works for me and the products I do not use will eventually be back up products if I run out of the products I currently use. Another words what loved ones may not understand is that in our grooming regimens we are not using 3 types of gels 2 types of oils for each shave.

I'm not overrun with products (yet!), but my wife does complain that I now spend more time in the bathroom than she does! LOL
