• Volcanic ash cloud closed airports across north and central Europe for a third day.
  But SBG allows to stay in contact.

• It's hard to get current information.  Is the volcano still producing ash, so the cloud is not diminishing or is this a period to let the cloud to disperse?  If it's still generating, then matters are going to get very complex very quickly for many areas of the economy.

• Yes, the volcano is still producing ash and we have here in Europe the nicest wheather with a clear blue sky and nearly no wind. So the ash cloud remains here where it is and a change is not in sight.

• brilliantly sunny day today: and the skies were totally clear of polution from aeroplanes!!
  
  a lot of travel chaos though, as loads of people were on holiday with their kids due to the Easter holidays, which end this Monday.

  Yes, that's where we have close friends whose daughter & grandkids are in town and now, they can't get back to their ex-pat community in London.  This is really going to get more interesting as time goes on, particularly since London is probably the most important city regarding insurance, and in many respects finance.

• Where we live in NE Ohio is right in the flight path of many jets, we see 8-10 jet trails at any one time, all day long. We always thought it was from the NY-Boston-Phila area to points west. But Friday we had a perfectly clear sky with no jet trails except for a couple far to the north. It hasn't been like that since 9-11. We wonder if this is a flight path for Europe flights?

• The volcano is still producing ash, and I have just seen one of the Sunday headlines which claims that an expert reckons another one is about to blow also. My work partner is stuck in Tenerife with his wife and it looks as if he may have to swim home.

• Saw on the news that amusement parks in Florida are letting stranded travelers in for free depending on the dates on their international tickets
