Really looking forward to this mini-Series. My father served in the Pacific and never would talk about the war or his experiences--that was the tradition of the Greatest Generation.
They have opened the Pacific section of the World War II Museum [formerly the D-Day Museum] in New Orleans and it has gotten great reviews. The Museum is undergoing a major expansion A must see on a visit to this area. -

I'm about 2/3's through the book. I picked it up on Sunday. Definitely looking forward to it; a "Band of Brother's" type story. I believe Hugh Ambrose is culminating his father's dream. Stephen Ambrose had hoped to do a Pacific theatre version of "Band of Brothers".
I'm hoping to go up to North Georgia for the Currahee Reunion they have each year. A friend of mine is a volunteer for it.
