Just Went Bald... I need HONEST Opinion by highflyer23 on 10 Mar, 2010 12:26

I'm 23 years old and I have been losing hair for the past few years and it has become very noticable now.
Very frustrated... I took a razor to my head and here is the result... Can I get HONEST opinion on whether I can pull this look off... remember I am only 23 and this is a very important decision as it will have major impact on my life in terms of both career and finding the right girl (GF broke up with me last December)... My other options include using a wig or hair transplant but I'm not worried about that right now, I just want to know if I can pull this look off. Please HONEST opinion, let it be blunt and very frank.

Honestly, you came to the right place. And yes you have a good looking dome, now keep it smooth for 30 days. You're in for a good ride--enjoy.
PS: Couldn't answer you're poll--too negative--no choice "Nice Dome". Please revise and that will be my vote. -

First, welcome to the site. There is a WEALTH of information on here.
I think the look suits you. I don't think that the fact that you do or do not have hair will affect your career path/plans. The BBC look is become more accepted in the workplace and in general, IMO.
I don't see it being a barrier to getting a girl either. Lots of ladies out there love the bald look. AND, the type of lady you want to spend your life with will hopefully be looking for more than just hair - confidence, character, caring, and a sense of humor just to name a few things.
Finally, stay away from the rugs, plugs, and drug. They are all expensive and side effect ridden options for dealing with receding or thinning hair.
Bottom line - - Be confident in yourself and your new look and your career and love life will fall into place.
Edit: I choose not bad on the poll as that was the most positive option. However, I am with saintc on this one - nice dome! -

1. Looks great to me.
2. Rugs, plugs, drugs ---> you'll still always worry if the hair looks good
Sly ---> no more thinking about hair is necessary, instead focus on the relevant things (girls, job, etc.)
3. 30 days and you'll love it or your money back. What have you got to loose?

I'm doing the 30 day thing now too. Just shaved two days ago. I think you look fine. Keep it up for awhile and see what happens.

OK, you've got a great headshape and it looks like your shave is really smooth. Lose the deer in the headlights look and practice looking in the mirror and thinking how bada$$ you look. I new pair of sunglasses will totally rock the new Sly look.
