No, but take pictures, we want to see you sitzmarking down the slopes.
I did a writeup here awhile ago about snowboarding.

I have small children at home (too young to join me), so my time on the slopes has been severely cut back the last few years. (Then I had pneumonia this December and January, which messed up this season.)
Finally next week I'm headed out of town for a trip (Whiteface, New York) for about five days or so.
Get skis!
As a long time skier, I couldn't resist. Though, I also board when my wife goes.
My advice would be to prepare to fall as it's inevitable when learning. While it's hard to do, I've always found it easier if you stay loose and try not to tense up. This will help you bend at the knees easier and allow your lower body to do the work, not your upper body.
During growth spurts DEFINITELY get em to wear some wrist and ankle protection. The growth spurts will also leave em prone to bone breaks and fractures.
Watch out for adolescent boys on snowboards. They think they are (1) invincible and (2) own the slopes ! I can thank one for a broken ankle ! At least he was apologetic about it !!
Thanks for all the advice fellas. I'll let you know how it goes.

hey doug: how was your snowboarding adventure?
WARHAWK
It wasn't too bad. On the first run, my son was trying to ride goofy footed. He kept falling and getting frustrated. However, once I suggested that he try regular foot, he did fine. That's how his board was set up any way.
All the run after that got progressively better - for me too!
It was a little hard to watch him and make sure that I wasn't going to run into anybody, but we both had a great time and will definitely do it again!!
