Just want to remind posters to this thread that it is NOT just American medicine. They actually do stents, same day, in most Western countries. Comments like this only further the often eroneous feeling that American are insular and ignorant of the rest of the world.
Glad to hear that you are doing well, Tom and wish all the best for the future. As someone that has experienced two rounds of heart surgery I envy those where stents have providedthe answer.

Absolutely right ken. About the only way the USA leads the world in health care is COST. It is certainly not ahead in terms of mortality and the other measures that measure QUALITY.
