Well, I've gotten the "you look mean" reaction far before I starting shaving my head. Most people really just say that I look pissed off all that time and my bald head makes me look even meaner than before. I just think that's funny because I'm only 5'6 and weigh in at about 150 lbs, lol. I've had people twice my size tell me that they wouldn't want to mess with me just because I LOOK mean. I guess that's a good thing though, because I can have short-man syndrome at times.

I went to meet a friend at his garage. He's a a mechanic. The guy at the front desk went to get him and said 'there's a skinhead looking for you; he looks mean'.
I was kinda amused by it actually. But I guess it's understandable. Early monring and had my grouchy expression on.

Being bald can be misinterpreted as being a skinhead I guess. But then again, the flip side is that the women at my workplace love my bald head. I get the best reactions from African-American women. They just love it. They like the shape of my head, said i looked younger, and it looks fresh. Go figure.
Keep it Sly.

Not a tough guy reaction, but a pretty cool one. I had a customer tell me that I have a perfect head for being bald, that was awesome! I am delivering a new Chevy truck to him tomorrow!

Looking mean, like some one folks don't want to mess with, is not a bad thing, Cam, especially for a short guy. I'm 5'5" and 122 soaking wet, so an imtimidating look serves me well. I always garnered respect (bearing and diction, I guess), but after going sly I've noticed a lot more "yes, sirs" and "thank you, sirs" than before. This was especially true around Christmas, when overworked salespeople were noticeably more courteous than before. I shiny dome and good lear or scowl can do wonders to put a rude punk in his/her place. Not everyone needs to perceive the tender-hearted lover inside. Professor Melon

I get that reaction alot I think because I like wearing black. It just adds to it but the truth is I am not going for the "I want to open a can of whup ass on you" look. I just like dark colors.
Looking mean with my shaved head does come in handy in one area: I have two teenage daughters! nuff said. I also collect swords so when the new boyfriend comes over I make sure I show him the replica of the swords my ancestors used to cut the heads off of the English invaders...and yes, I describe it EXACTLY that way!! ha ha.

The Mean Look is nice. People don't take advantage of you, and to tell you the truth, Women look to find the Bad Boy, but they are always happy to find out that he is really a Good Man. Like a prize from a Box of cheerios, you open the book and find out the cover was great, But the Story inside is a Hell of a lot better.
And HammerHead, what happens when when of those guys turns out to be another sly bald guy

? Ha Robmeister? I recommend that you just level with him then... Because you know us Sly Bald Guys, always the Gentlemen.

I had my best bud say to me "you are one scary looking dude" when I came into the club to meet him for a drink. What was odd was he hadn't said anything before about my look. He said this about 4 or 5 months into me being shaved. Yes, I'm a larger man at 6'2" and 215 lbs. but I was that before the shave. I didn't question what he said, I just kept it in the back of my mind.
bullet. you resemble billy bob thornton. that IS scary.
If I only had a chance at Angelina!

Well today I was doing a photo shoot for the airport and everyone kept asking me if I was doing security. (for those of you who don't know, I work at an airport)
I actually work in the PR department, but the minute I gave suggestions about the shoot, they crew scurried around like I was the President. The shaved head and a suit gets em everytime.
