Hi friends,
What types of clothing and/or accessories do you feel best compliment a bald dome? (Do you think color also makes a difference?)
Thanks.

I pretty much wear the same ole stuff I always have. I find myself going without a hat more and more though.

That's a great question.
My take on it is not necessarily what compliments the SLY shaved bean....
But that sporting the chrome compliments just about anything/any color you wear

We've got a beefy thread on that subject:

BINGO. I've said the same thing many times since I shaved it. Gotta lube up the noggin' though if you're going to show your slyness.

Dear Phriendofchrist, welcome to the forum. You will find a real bald brotherhood here, diverse personalities, and some committed Christians. In answer to your sartorial question: anything black, turtlenecks, shades, steel jewelry, swearers with designs/patterns around the neck and shoulders all complement the sly dome it seems to me. I have no piercings or tats, but some bros pair them with the bald look. There are several informative threads on this subject; Noner has recently suggested a "money/power" dark colored shirt, dress slacks, and good shoes. Pax vobiscum, Professor Melon

I'm with most the other guys here...When you have the "sly dome" anything you where really looks fitting. But I do have to agree with Pro. Melon on one point. I've noticed since I've went the way of the sly black does look a little better on me now. I'm not one to spend too much money on clothing. Pair of jeans and a plain white tee shirt and I'm good to go. (Save the money for the HeadBlade stuff) Ha, ha.

But seriously I use to love wearing white tees with my jeans but something about black now with my slick dome??? I don't know.

I agree with the group. I don't think I really changed the way I dressed once I started shaving my head 6 + years ago but I am probably more "style conscience" now. Casual clothing for me ranges from skater stuff (duh) to more of a european look. Dress clothes (suits) are Italian ONLY! I have been accused of not "dressing my age" but I think that's just jealousy on the part of the person saying it. I do have one rule on clothes: If the clothing manufacturer feels an overwhelming need to display their brand name prominently I don't wear it!!!!!!!!
I have always been a black fan but over the last 3 or so years it has become my main color of choice. I think it does perpetuate the "tough bald guy image" though but that is not what I am particularly going for. I just feel that I look better in dark colors (black, blue)....I guess it helps to match with all my bruises and scrapes!! ha ha
By the way, PhriendofChrist....I'm a Jesus Follower too. Add me to your MySpace if you have one...and any of you other Sly Dudes...if your not already on my friends list please add me!

I've got to agree with Robmeister. The shaved dome needs to be the main focal point, as a result I tend to only wear solid colors. While I have always preferred black myself, you need to wear those colors which normally work well for you. Stay away from wild stuff that detracts from the Sly look should be key.

Couldn't disagree more, Paul. Feast your eyes on this gorgeous ensemble. Granted, the shirts haven't changed since this picture was taken a year ago (my 40th b-day), just the sly guy under it.

The only thing that has changed about my style of dress is my t-shirts. That's because I pretty much just wear my SBG shirts when I wear a t-shirt. (I know...shameless plug

You self-promotion makes me sick!

Anyone who wears a Noner t-shirt would be appalled.

And I'll give you a sample of my new Nonerific salsa dippind sauce.
