Hi everyone,
I am from Duesseldorf in Germany, close to Cologne.
I have noticed some young guys with buzzed heads and one even shaved smooth young guy that didn't seem to have any mpb.
Is that the new fashion for young guys?
That would be great, because I couldn't stand the emo-haircuts many youngsters were/are wearing! :-)
Greats - sometimer
I guess you could say that...
Fashionable....awesome word. Makes me feel like I am on a cat walk...lol

It doesn't seem to have been the "in" thing around here for some time now. The Emos and shaggy-mop haircuts have taken hold in the 20-something and younger crowd, for now.
Welcome to the group Sometimer.
Around here there are tons of buzzed young guys in the summer but now that its nearing winter I havent seen as many. In my area I have only seen maybe 10 other guys in their early 20's that are smooth, the rest just have a #1 or so. Lucky for me I dont see many of the shaggy hairstyles. I do see tons of the emo haircuts, the guys that have that hairstyle tend to wear chick pants and its very hard to tell if they are a guy or girl. I hope that the Sly style will become popular, even for like a decade. The 80's was big hair, 2010's could be no hair.
In Los Angeles, it seems that the #1 buzzed look is especially popular with the younger guys. Not so many go sly.
Up to 50 or so, most w/ mpb at least buzz but 50+, it's not too common. My generation has some weird idea that getting old equals looking bad, and nothing is bad like a bozo ring and/or combover. There is some change, at least it's fully accepted, particularly by former military types, etc. I don't get any hassles anymore from anyone, except the wifey after one too many drinks. At a Halloween party, one friend who is a real wild man and gave me some pretty good natured ribbing, pulled me aside and was talking about it, how to, etc., and guess what his excuse du jour was, "I don't have the head for it." You'd think he was in his twenties!

Hi ozzie,
that's exactly what I noticed. Young guys with buzzcuts Nr.1 - seen them more frequently.
Just one with a shaved head - but buzzcuts are fine too.
