Well it seem's like every other day nag nag nag nag about how shinny my head is.  Just the other night she asked if I shaved my head again.... cuz she hasn't seen any hair growth 

Then last night she starts in about, "You know are you just doing this for spite?" - "I have never done anything that you didn't like." - "I think it makes you look so much old, I just which you would give in a let 1/4 inch of hair grow back." - "I can't believe you won't do this for me."

Ah hun, while your on the topic of doing this for me, have you ever thought how I feel about this, and how this makes me feel so good about myself.  You need to understand, that me shaving my head is a me thing and that it makes me feel great about myself.

Don't know what she has in mind, but she walked away saying something like, "So you won't do this one thing for me...... aaaall right."

Just hope I don't wake up some morning looking like this guy......

I comped her one thing, she really did not like my goatee so I shaved off today......   

My granddaughter really fussed over it anyway, so now my chin looks like my head 


But my shaved head, the sly look STAYS!

I don't have issues with the goatee, all my grey hair shows there like real serious like.  When I reach my weight goal, I will look like this again where I weighed in at 195 pounds.

Well it happened again tonight  right there at Famous Daves because her friend was along.  She had called me up to see if I would meet them.....so I figured a small bite, not the big orders that I had been accustomed to.  I walk in and her friend Terri looks up and say's like wow how shinny.  Then my wife goes off, about how pissed she is, as I know now others are listening from other tables.  She then says, "I'm never going to ask you about what to do with my hair then."

Now it gets good.... I look at her right there with others looking on from the Sports Bar.  I said, You know what, you still don't get it, this aint about you, this is not even about what I think your hair should look like and frankly I don't care what you do with your hair.  Color it blue, purple or green.. maybe even like the rainbow for all I care if it makes you feel good, then get it done.  I shaved my goatee for you, and all you can do is still BITCH over my shaving my head.  This is about me and how I feel, not you, not Terri, not anyone else.

I heard some applausing and amens in the background.... but at our table, you could have heard a pin drop.

Let us know what color she picks.    Congratulations to you for standing your ground.  Hell!  If you asked her to grow a mustache, would she do it?  Tell her that if she gets to pick your hair style that you get to pick hers and then have her shave HER head.

I suck at relationship counselling by the way.

Now I have Famous Dave's on the brain.  BBQ!  Yum!

BTW I did have the Buffalo Chicken ie Buffalo Wings.... then I added the BBQ sauce that comes in the large bottle..... oh what a bite they had

J_B,    I'm not married so I suppose my words don't carry much weight... However, I would like to point out that (to me) a loving relationship should serve to build each person up.  To love someone means you are committed to improving their quality of life through your influence.  Your haircut shouldn't be something from which your wife derives her sense of complacency regarding your relationship.  If shaving your head allows you to feel better and thus be a better husband WHERE IT COUNTS, then she should support it wholeheartedly...

I will say on a side note, I have never ridiculed or brow beat my wife about her weight... never.  Do I like it, no I don't, but I have loved her unconditionally without belittling her or trying to embarrass her in front of others.  This would be so counter productive to a harmonious relationship.  So far today it has been good, no counter productive jabs or remarks.  Maybe last night at Famous Daves, I was able to make a point in public.
