I realize most people don't think it gets too hot in SPUD Capital USA, but it does get hot here but not as hot as other southern parts of the country. So what has been the highest temperature in your part of the US so far this summer? 106 here and that happened last Saturday, July 18th. Every day since has been warm but not quite as warm as the 18th, mid - upper 90's, but Wednesday the 22nd it was 105. Thank God we have very little humidity here... Let's here your high.

We just broke a streak of 16 over-100 days yesterday with a cool 99. Back to the 100's today and for the foreseeable future.

It's already been 112 a few days here. But it's a dry 112 degrees. We're celebrating it will only get to 102-105 this weekend.

It's been a couple of degrees warmer here than normal, but then again, it's JULY!
Plus, we've had an unseasonably cool past few months. It all ebbs & flows.

Here in Chicago, we are lucky to even break 80 degrees this July. So weird! I wonder if that means we'll get a rebound scorching in August or......frost! LOL

Houston has had 106-108 this July. Unfortunately we also had the usual high humidity. I haven't been out much this month. We weather has been changing though. Previously, very little rain. Less than half an inch since May. Very unusual. This past week, however we have started getting a few popcorn showers that cool it off temporarily.

This has been one of the coolest Julys on record for my part of GA. We had a heat wave a couple of weeks ago (96-99), but has mostly stayed in the low to mid 80s. Weird, but August is just around the corner.

Anything above 7C is too hot for me. We're lucky that it's been raining pretty much for the past three weeks.

Up heah in Maine June had only 5 days that it did not rain and the temps never hit 90! July has been about the same rain wise but the temps have been a tiny bit higher.

The highest its been in VA so far is only about 96-98. Its usually warmer here than that by now. But the humidity is the killer

Like others said, it's been much cooler here than usual. We've only been up to the low 80s lately. It's usually mid-90's in Ohio by this time of year. It's a cool July. Like JJ said -- you never know what that means. It could either be scorching in August, or frost early. Keeps the meteorologists employed (and guessing).
