As some of you may remember, I have said on this Forum that NEXT year for my 50th birthday I was going to buy a new Harley.
So last week (July 3rd... I have no idea what day it is right now)I went to the dealer to pick up some new do-rags before I left for vacation.
When I walked in the front door of the dealer there was a huge sign that said "Clearing all 2009 inventory. $2000 off all touring models."
Took me about three second to decide to purchase the Road King I've been looking at for NEXT year's birthday for this year's Birthday!
So I had the guy hold a brand new 2009 Road King (Black) for me. I'm finishing up arranging financing now (tough to do from the wilds of Canada with no cell service or laptop).
I'll probably pick it up Tuesday of next week.
Needless to say..... I'm stoked. -

Congrats Mike, know you will love it! Just came back from the monthly meeting of HOG. I really enjoy the friendships I'm developing there. Haven't had the guts to try a ride yet. But it is coming.

I'm super happy for you Mike. You soon will be the "Sly King of the Road". I ride a 1998 Honda Shadow, 750, and boy do I want a Harley. I live on Maui where the riding is "sweet" as Tyler put it. I also want a touring bike but not an Ultraglide-if you get a chance in a PM, please tell me why you selected a Road KIng and what you paid for it?
