Gonna run in a 5K race at the local park - sort of a tradition. The rest of the day is relaxing with the family and probably a BBQ grill.

Not too much, hopefully we'll have some use of the kitchen by then--enough to fire up the grill for some traditional foods, play John Philip Souza lound, and make some sangria, cold Abita Amber--and do our part of the house redo!

We're having a big neighborhood block party Friday. Going to Rhode Island Saturday for some beaching/fishing and fireworks on the beach at night. Then, as is the case every year, I will kept up all night by people lighting off smaller-scale fireworks.

you cant light fireworks up there Mike! It wouldnt be right...lol Even though it is July 4th...those canadians are liable to boot you back across the borders. Reminds me of an aunt of mine when we had an exchange student from Finland. She asked the exchange student what they did on July 4th and for Thanksgiving? The exchange student just looked at here and said...umm we go to work! LOL

I'm doing the traditional American front yard BBQ. I'm going to cook a bunch of food and have a lot of American beer on hand. Anyone that passes by is welcome to food and drinks. The kids will be playing out front and in the pool.
It is basically an unofficial neighborhood party and anyone is welcome.
