Hi to you guys,
First, I just want to let you know that English is not my first language, but I will try to make it clear.
I think that having some stubble on my head is not the best option, since I am only 25 years old; therefore, I want to go sly.
I think it suits me very well tbh; however, I am always a little bit obsessed with the “shadow of hair on the side.”
After I finished shaving, when I put the after shave, it is almost invisible when I look right in front of the mirror, but after one day, it grows a little bit and you can see if you look VERY CLOSELY that I am bald.
How can I not bother about that? Because it bothers me, honestly I think I look GOOD when Sly, but I am always obsessed with that “Shadow” that I can see when shaved for a couple of hours, and days……
Also, when Sly, I think I CANNOT wear baggy shirts because I look like a fatso!
What do you guys think about that “Shadow on the site”
Let me know!
I at first was bothered by the shadow quite a bit when I first went sly. I have pale skin with dark brown hair, so a shadow as inevitable. I have a shadow right after im done shaving, theres no getting past it. And at 18 years old I don't see my hair graying anytime soon. So ya at first it bothers you, but after a while you just realize that "this is who I am" and you just don't really care anymore. Most of the people aren't going to notice in your case, or if they do notice even care. Because to them bald is bald. Also if you think you look like a "fatso" you can also hit the gym and run/lift weights.
Kenny is correct---to most everyone else, "bald is bald"....we, as SLY guys, will notice each other's shaves, but most people will be clueless. They have no idea of what it takes to be as handsome and good looking as we all are!! The shadow will appear, but it is just you, man. No big problem! Good luck, dude.
I don't think anyone reply notices. Hair grows all the time so your scalp won't feel completely bald for long.
You may find you can prolong the sly look and feel by using a little moisturizer.
Don't obsess too much or you may cause skin problems by over-shaving.
When I say 'over shave' I mean that if you obsess too much about the shadow that remains, you might be tempted to go over the area again and again during your present shaving session to try to get a closer shave. I advise against it because you increase the chance of cuts, nicks, and irritation.
With the grain will give you a good 'sly' appearance. Against the grain may result in a smoother feel and will reduce some of the 'shadow' that you mention. Some folks report that it causes them to develop ingrown hairs and such, though. Go easy and experiment with this only as much as you dare.
As for the shirts: It might be the best time now to try out different clothes which go better with your new style.

Only other sly guys will notice the shadow, just like you notice their's! Don't worry about it. And baggy shirts, that's not a bad thing to avoiid anyway, is it?
I second what all these guys said and yes we tend to be our own worst enemies. I have heard of people shaving twice a day but that seems pretty extreme to me.
