It's amazing.... and I don't think it's real. I do believe it's possible under the right conditions (although no 1 million volts).
I wonder what the current (amperage) was? At the lower voltages the current would matter more.

It's the current that kills you, not the voltage. There are also issues with the frequency of the electricity, 60 Hz vs higher values. Irwin Moon did a lot of 'experiments' and demonstrations of this years ago on Moody Science Films.

It's difficult to believe that it's true. That thing with the hotdog would require significant Amperage -- unless you want to believe that some people have super powers.
