Hi Guys,
I just shaved my head for the second time. I washed with Shampoo, put on a pre-shave oil, then shaving cream. Then I went with the grain, and then against the grain. I got a few nicks and cut (about three or four). But, my shave was much closer. I used the same blade as I did the first time, but I'm going to toss that one and put in a new one for the next time.
You guys were totally right about my hair growing in different directions. Who would have thought? Also, there are a couple of small areas where, no matter what direction I moved the razor, I could not get the hair. Any advice? Possibly not enough pressure on the razor? Or maybe the razor is too dull?
I followed up with LAB Series, Razor Burn Relief Ultra for my after shave. Before I head out today, I'll put on some L'Oreal SPF 15 after shave lotion on my head and face.
I don't plan to be outside too much today so I think the SPF 15 should be fine. Plus, I really want the color of the rest of my head to catch up with my face and the top of the head.
Oh, I've been reading the shaving routines again. You guys recommend the St. Ives Apricot as and exfoliater. What do you guys think about L'Oreal for men as and exfoliator? I like L'Oreal's SPF 15 aftershave, it's not greasy and the smell isn't over powering.
My wife really, really, likes the bald thing. She says it's like kissing someone different. She said it makes her feel "Naughty." Freaking cool!!!!
If I had known that, I would have shaved years ago.
I do have a scar on the right side of my head. It is a little harder to shave around, or through it, but I think I can navigate it fairly well.
