I just made this purchase TODAY from Lee's Safety Razors:
◦ 1 x Vulfix No. 1001 Pure Badger Shaving Brush
◦ 1 x DE Blade Multipack
◦ 1 x Pacific Shaving Nick Stick
◦ 1 x Edwin Jagger DE89L Safety Razor
◦ 1 x RazoRock XXX Shaving Cream Soap
The brush is really a nice quality beginners brush. I'm stoked to get these items and get started! A special thanks to my Friend Mel (WARHAWK) for all of his help and advice. It would have been much tougher deciding what to purchasse without his input!!

Hey Koz: Congrats on your 1st DE kit. That is an incredible DE shaving kit that any DE newbie or veteran would love. Nice products and good that U got the blade sampler. There are so many DE blades. One blade might be bad for U and good for another one. Good luck with your upcoming DE shave.
Remember to be patient and take your time. Please do not rush. Most of all... have fun. I know I am. If you have any questions please PM me or post up on SBGs.

Hey there Mike.
That sounds like an awesome DE kit! I am keen to read how it goes. I hope you get many miles out of that awesome Edwin Jagger.

Mike, there is no need for that if you are going to just use your DE on the face. However, if you are going to "Double Edge your head", well thats another story. There will be blood the first few times, but with practice the blood will be less and less...

The DE will be for the face only until I'm extremely comfortable with it. The HB will continue to rule the dome for the near future.

Let us know how it goes! That kit looks pretty awesome; I have a Vulfix brush and the same EJ DE handle, too. I say go straight for the head if you have enough time. I had my 3rd DE shave (head and face) today and I've already gotten much better at keeping the angle of attack correct and I'm shaving quicker.

Welcome to the DE shaving club! Sounds like a nice setup that you bought. Enjoy the process and take you time. The nicks will become fewer and fewer as time/skill progresses.
