Cream or sugar? I thought we were talking about olive oil, not coffee!?
But I'll take alittle of both I guess.
Well at least I now know I'm not alone. I do like Tank. I oil my head down after a hot shower. Then I give it a light(very light) lather of shaving gel. I go over my head once. Then I hit it with more EVO and go against the grain. I use it on my head and face. I used to have bad razor burn on my neck. That is now gone. I never thought of putting the razor in the oil for a soak. I'll have to try that.
After reading these posts with great interest I have decided to try the olive oil storage trick! I usually pay around 8 pounds (12 dollars) for 4 Gillette fusion blades, so anyway I save a few pennies is very welcome, I normally get 1 headshave and 3 to 4 face shaves from one blade. Am starting a new blade today and will be rinsing it properly after use and storing it in olive oil, i will report back accordingly................................
Just an update. I'm still doing the olive oil storage. I've learned even a few more tricks that I will now share.
- I just put a few centimeters of olive oil in a small coffee cup that is stored on a high shelf in my shower. This keeps the oil from getting water in it during the shower.
- I rinse well, then blow any moisture out of the razor head (usually some water flies out), then
- I let the razor sit and dry during my post shower routine to fully dry it out before putting it back in the oil.
