I don't know about anyone else, but force has never been what we are about.  We seem to agree that we do not put up with anybody trying to force rugs, plugs or drugs on any of us.  How would that be any different than us trying to force our preferences on someone else?  We encourage, recommend and advise...   ...that is all...
