At a 'buck for a puck', who wouldn't want to try out this legendary shave soap. I found mine at CVS. I'm using a $5 boar brush from Walmart, so my review might differ from others using a higher quality brush.
Ease of lathering: Very easy. I found lathering on my head is SO much easier than building a lather in a mug. I get the soap wet with water, then work the wet brush in circles till my brush is filled with soapy goodness. Then I work the lather on my head, adding water to the brush as needed.
Life span of lather: Decent. Williams seems to crave water, so I use a good bit during the shave.
Moisturizing: Not really a moisturizing soap. I actually favor this quality, as my head feels nice and clean after the shave.
Lubrication: Not bad, not great. Most soaps aren't known to be as lubricating as creams, but offer a closer shave.
How protective?: Decent protection for a soap.
Scent: This is what keeps me coming back to Williams Mug Soap. The lemon scent is amazing. Can't beat it.
Price: A bit more than a $1 for a puck, are you kidding me.
