I've been lurking here for a while & just went ahead and joined and posted.
My name is John. I am currently residing in Lincoln, NE and, while not SLY yet, I think nature has determined it's only a matter of time.
There is some great info (and what appears to be some great PEOPLE) here and I wanted to say thanks for putting this place together.

hey pixtaker: welcome 2 the sly fraternity. glad that ya joined us. check out the HEADSHAVING section of the forum: "your shave routine", "what razor you use", "shaving cream or gel". this section has some priceless info on head shaving.
oh... and U R so right that this site has some gr8 info. however, the quality members of this site make this the best forum on the internet. again, welcome 2 the sly fraternity. please, keep us posted 2 your road 2 slyness.

After many years of "chatting" and belonging to many BBS's etc. I can tell you without a doubt this forum has the best group I've ever seen! No squabbles or complaints just nice edifying posts!
The others are all right! Just post away and try to read some of those topics that apply directly to you! Once you get the routine down you'll be amazed how rapidly and simply you can shave the ol' dome!! -

Thanks for the welcome, guys.
Now to answer a couple questions:
Champ007: lol not just yet. I'm a researcher by nature. I tend not to be impulsive so, while I'm pretty sure SLY is coming, it's not here yet.
Stu: I posted a couple pix on another thread by request but I'll add one here as well.
I'm still reading, still learning, and still progressing. I'll get there...but it's going to be tough to convince myself to finally "pull the trigger".

Thanks...I think I'm gonna NEED some help pushing me off the fence. What's funny is, on an intellectual level, I know that ponytail or shaved head I'm still the same guy...but there's just some part inside screaming to stop all this crazyness and stock up on hats....
