Miracle Whip, Mayonaisse, and anything that resembles them does not cross my lips. Heart attack in a jar I say!!!!!!!
Surprisingly, Mike, high-fat stuff is primarily a problem simply because of the density of calories.
Again, Surprisingly, the "stuff" that causes artery clogging and all that is SUGAR.....
High levels of blood sugar, cause the pancreas to send out high levels of insulin to bring down the blood sugar (glucose) the excess of which is stored as FAT....
Contrary to widespread belief.....dig this......with all the CRAP I've had to learn as a diabetic, I know whereof I speak.....
The danger....are you ready?.....is THE POTATO and _NOT_ the butter or sour cream. The popular saying is,
"Hey, have the potato...just don't put any butter or sour cream on it."Wrong!!!...If you have a potato and a diet soda with a meal....that damn potato is more glycemically loaded (blood sugar) than a 20 oz regular soda.....like the equivelant of 12 tsp of table sugar in the blood!!!
Those damn energy drinks that have 50 tablespoons of sugar in them are worse for your heart and arteries than just about anything out there....not to mention mayo, butter, etc...
As a diabetic type 2 I am at HIGH risk for high cholesterol, high triglycerides, clogged arteries and heart attack. Does my endocrinologist and nutritionist put the voo doo on mayo, butter, etc...

NOPE....NOPE....only on HIGH GLYCEMIC foods (white bread, white pasta, white rice, potatos). I can have as much mayo, butter, oils as I want to the extent that the calories don't upset what I need to consume (NOT consume, that is) in connection with my workouts.
Now of course Mayo, butter, oils and such would be bad for the arteries and heart to the extent that they contribute to overall obesity by overloading the body with calories.
But contrary to popular belief, eating mayonaise, butter etc. doesn't "soak" from yer stomach into yer veins and clog them.
Boy, what a digression.....The Meister's BACK

With all that said....I voted for Mayonnaise....I love mayonnaise!!! But I do limit it for caloric reasons, not because it will soak into my arteries.
