alarm clocks
« on: April 25, 2009, 09:27:21 PM »
hello fellow chrome domes:  do  U  use an alarm clock 2 wake U up in the morning or night when U go 2 work or school?  i'll start:  i always set my alarm clock prior 2 going 2 sleep so that i'm "guaranteed"  2 wake up early in the morning 4 work.  i almost always wake up a few minutes b4 the alarm rings but the alarm clock is my "insurance" on getting out of bed.

so... how 'bout U?  do use an alarm clock like me?  yes?  no?  never?  what's your story?  bonus question... do U use your snooze button?  me?  of course i do? O0

Hey warhawk,
I hate the "ticking" of clocks.  I can't fall asleep  :Xo! :Xo! :Xo!
So instead I have a radio alarm clock.   I wake up to songs or news on the radio.
So you wake up before you alark clock rings?  ???  That's nice!! I wish I could do that.
I heard that Native Americans had a trick to waking up early.  Drink a glass of water before going to bed.
You will surely wake up early enough.   :)  (that was their trick from what I learned)

Mine is set for 6 AM for the wife. I usually wake up by 5:15 or so.

Same here, I set the alarm clock radio for 5 a.m., but usually I am awake 10 minutes before.

Never use one. I just wake up on my own around the right time. Don't know why, but it's been that way for over a decade now.

Yep....either use the one on the nightstand.....or my cell phone.

I like my cell phone alarm because I can set it to start out REALLY quiet and then get gradually a little louder.

The goes off at 6:00 for my wife mainly. BUT I honestly I can't remember the last time it went off. I usually wake around 5:30 no matter what. When it does go off it simply beeps. It is kept on the dresser so that you have to get up to shut it off!

I use an alarm clock, but I usually wake up before it goes off. If it does go off I beat the hell out of it until it shuts up!

My wife wakes me about 6:30 so I can make her breakfast & pack her lunch. She has the real job while I have a home-based business. A side note for waking up as I'm not a morning person- I read somewhere before you get out of bed rub your eyes and massage your face a little- it works- it must get the blood flowing or some logiclal reason.

Like a lot of the guys I set an alarm clock but I usually wake up a little before and turn it off and suit up for the gym.  Once in a while it will go off, it's really an irritating sound and if I'm really sound asleep when it goes off I have a hard time finding it.  That does not please my wife who gets up when her alarm goes off, me finishing in the bath after getting back from the gym.

I use my Ipod Alarm Clock and I tend to overuse the snooze button, so I keep mine across the room which forces me to get up and turn it off.  I also set my cell phone alarm as I am a deep sleeper and have to have 2 to wake up usually.
