What's everyone up to on this Sat/Sun?
« on: April 18, 2009, 02:02:47 PM »
We're off to the flea market.  My wife needs to find something for her crafts and I'm going to see if anyone is selling some razor blades.  It's not a common thing for us to do, but it's a nice day and we're going to get out of the house.

After 3 weeks of FORCED [a lot of it unpaid] VACATION (stupid economy), I have started my first day back to work... TODAY.

I work a weird shift, I work 12 hours a days and work Saturdays, but only work 3 and then 4 days a week.  Sort of how nurses work at hospitals.

Anyrate, today is a slow day equipment is not breaking so, I have cubical time...

Worked until around 2PM. Afternoon and night with the wife and daughter. Possibly going to our local racetrack later. Tomorrow.........."check the honey do list"

We took the cat to the vets and then did yard work!! Our yard was a total mess from the big icestorm we had back in Dec.  Sooo basically we worked hard and then paid a guy $200 to check out the cat for maybe 10 minutes!
It's all about attitude!

I finally might have a productive day today, after 2 months of having a broken phone, I'm going to get up, drive to the Verizon store and get a new one.

Today I am chilling with my woman, tomorrow is my birthday so we're going to go on a hike and get hammered on champagne somewhere in the forest.

I just chilled out with my 2 kiddos today. It's raining buckets here so I can't do much outside. Tomorrow is church in the morning and prolly gonna go play some music with some friends in the evening.
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

I  just got back from the flea market.  Paid $29 for 30 blades.  Got a tan in the process.  Now we're heading to our friend's birthday.  Tomorrow is church followed by Gilroy Gardens in the afternoon.  I'm going to need a lot of sunscreen!

Got up this morning and did some of the neverending yard work (bit of advice, Magnolias are pretty but shed ALL YEAR). Went and did all errands today, car shopping, grocery store, home to finish the yard work, supper with the parents, edited the church bulletin and newsletter, toyed on the church organ while they were printing, folded and stuffed them, and now am home relaxing.  WHEW !!!!  Some more yard work tomorrow, a nap, church in the AM and Bible Study tomorrow night.  Have to read the chapters of The Shack we are discussing at some point !

I went to work this morning and closed up at Noon.  Came home, spent two hours trying to figure out what was wrong with lawn mower ....finally got it going but...only took me 20 minutes to mow it.  Help the wife a little on putting up a new porch swing.  So I got the mowing/ trimming done.  Then went to Mi Pueblo ...same home and helped a neighbor buildt a pond.

I spent the entire day spreading 6 yards of mulch.  Our new house has lots of mulched areas, and I probably should have gotten 7 or 8 yards.  Wow - I've been mulching for 20 years or so have and never ordered more than 3 yards in the past.

Also, I was dumb enough to be out in the sun all day w/o any sunscreen, so my head, cheeks, and nose are burning red.
