We definitely get some strange looks now.  But I think most people are afraid of asking about it because either upsetting our hair style choices or thinking she is currently battling cancer.  My mom saw the pix and called right away saying we needed to shave my son's head. :-\ ??? I pointed out that a shaved head is really not the best style for a little one.
