No, I've never fired one. I'm kinda partial to the 1911 style guns. That's just me.

that kimber is a fine one as well. have a buddy that is in law enforcement and his dad is a dealer/gunsmith.

I loved mine. I talked my wife into letting me pick up a Pro CDP II as an "investment" gun. I really just wanted it for a CCW piece. Money got tight and I sold it for the down payment on a Silverado. Guess it was a good investment. Now I have a Colt Commander for CCW.

I love guns ... can't get much here though, only shotguns & .22 rifles.
As for pistols, only ever fired a Browing 9mm, similar to your Colt 1911 I suppose. Nice weapon. Would love to fire something like the Beretta 92F or a Glock.
