Welcome to the site - looks good. Maybe try shaving with the grain for a short period of time just to acclimate your head to being shaved.

Welcome Wildo. I have to say nix the waxing as well.
Since you just shaved after having long hair, your scalp is going to be a bit irritated.
Go with the grain until you get accustomed to the blade, and try some of the special lotions for after shaving. Aloe vera would definitely help.
There's plenty of info and tips in the headshaving section, read up on it.

I went from long hair to shaved, Andre nailed it saying it helps keep the edge!! If you do end up waxing it, not that I would recommend, please post a video lol!
Where is the Wildo name from, because in school I was called Wildo (Baggins) because I was so short!!

My grandmother was very small (and very wise), and she used to say that all good things come in wee (small) bundles. What you guys loose in height, i bet you make up for in prescence.
