Hi
« on: April 01, 2009, 01:21:54 PM »
Hello, my name is Bill and I am from IL and this is my first time here.  I have been contemplating about shaving my head.  I have recently started to work out with a professional trainer.  It took me a while to even come to terms to shaving body parts.  But my hair is a different story.  I have just always liked the look.  I think it shows alot of confidence in a guy.  Hope I learn alot of info thru this forum and anxious to get to know a few of you.

So do you think I should shave it?  I do not have any patterns.  I just really do not know what to do.  My mind says do it, but my gut says no.

Oh I guess I should say that I have been visiting this site for about 6 months as a guest.  I was in Chicago this past August and I seen this card sitting on a counter at a tattoo shop.  Thought I would just check it out.

Hanging out with the bald bro's for 6 months...

you HAVE to shave your head smooth...at least once, to finally do it...seems like it's something YOU want...

and you're right...it'll give you great confidence...

and it does grow back if you don't dig it!

Go for it...you'll love being bald! O0

Dude, shave it!  You can always grow it back, but if you don't shave it, you won't know what you're missing.

Dont know, the more I think about it, the more I think I am just going to keep my hair.  Maybe this site really wasnt what I was looking for. Maybe false intentions.

Truth is, Sly isn't for everybody.  You're either ready for it or you're not.

I posted a new picture from when I was down in St Lucia 2 weeks ago.  This one shows my hair better.

Welcome, Slickiedoo.  Sounds to me like you've got the itch but not the motivation to shave your noggin.  You'll probably always have the notion rattling around your head until you give it a try.  But, as Red said, it's not for everyone.

You could always give it a close summer buzz and see what that does for you.  You may like it, or be appalled.  But it would give you a different look, and afford you just a hint of what SLY bald could be, although there is absolutely nothing like razoring it down to the wood.

Good luck deciding.

Well considering you are going from a full head of hair to nothing there are probably going to be a few remarks you will not like.  So either do it or don't.  You have been lurking around for 6 months I think that is long enough to make a smart decision on your own part.  You may want to think hard though considering you somewhat changed your mind within an hour..  Good luck

You're probably right....stick with hair bro...

but then again...something made you hang out here with a bunch of bald dudes, while thinking about shaving your head smooth the whole time...

you gotta believe it to wear it...so if you're not into the look...do not do it...

but I think you are! ;)

Cuz you never would have wasted 6 months here.....

A short buzz would give you an idea what it would look like.  With your looks it probably woudn't matter what kind of hair you have; it's all going to be good.  If you have the itch, go ahead and scratch.  Chalk it up to a life experience.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?
