hello fellow chrome domes: what do U guys do after having a bad day at work? yesterday, after having a bad day at the hospital,

i went 2 the gym and had a good workout. i thought i was too tired but after my workout i felt better. i'm kinda new 2 exercising so this is a good option when trying 2 relieve some work-related stress.

so... how 'bout U? what do U do after having a bad day at work? what's your story?

I beat the wife and kids.............. Oh I'm just kidding!!!!
Really I just kick the dogs........... KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just crank up the music in the car on the way home to unwind. I've also recently found that some of the Sirius comedy channels make me laugh like crazy.
The biggest thing I do is leave it all behind me as the door closes when I leave the building.
Most importantly............ My wife and kids ALWAYS bring huge smiles to my face.

like Koz, i try to keep a division between work and home. My dad always told my brother and I to never bring work home because home is supposed to be sanctuary. So i try to keep by that.
But angry music turned to eleven usually does the trick.

Going to the gym helps a lot. In fact, going to the gym at lunchtime is a great stress reliever when I've had a bad morning. Running or boxing are good ways to get the frustrations out.

I don't go to work so I will answer the question what do you do after a bad school day?

For me, taking a walk in beautiful Ottawa makes everything go away. Near my appartment there is a river or lake
or whatever you call it. It's nice to be by water and stare at the ducks.

The gym works well for me. Sometimes a beer or glass of wine helps.
There are times, depending on why the day was so bad, that talking the events of the day over with a trusted friend is a great help.

But angry music turned to eleven usually does the trick.
that is my theory too bro. my girlfriend doesn't understand how "that angry music stuff" can be calming. but it is. since i work seven on and seven off, i don't leave work for a week. but the two hour drive helps alot. then i am ready to enjoy my week off. in fact, i am going listen to loud, live music tomorrow night. (at the city club of houma. home of slybaldcon '09) see you boys in july!

oh yeah. my wife is the same way. she is like "i dont understand how you can find that calming!" and im like "well, if it keeps me from putting holes in the walls, just go with it."

haha. seriously though, ill put some Parkway Drive or Whitechapel on and just blast it, and by the time i get home im all good. Go on youtube and look those bands up. very calming. haha.

...and thanks Sean!
