Welcome Rob! I say go for the goatee and sly. You say that you've been clipping to a #1, if you don't like the sly look it will only take a week or less to be back to a #1. Of course the beard is a different story but I think you'll like it and it will suit you perfectly!

Welcome to SBG's Rob! Well your down to a #1 there isn't much difference between a 1 and a razor! I say go for it. it will be back to a number 1 in about 3 to 5 days anyway give it a shot! Keep the beard it suits you.

I would say definitely keep the beard, either full or a goat, and try the shaved dome before you decide what to do with the beard.

I love your attitude ....... more bald/balding guys should have that. It's pretty much how I felt before I shaved my head. You would not believe the feeling that shaving that tiny bit of hair will bring you.
I too vote for the 30 day trial.

Welcome Rob. I actually like the sly + full beard look. I would give it a try myself, but my hair comes in thinner along my jawline and cheeks. So I stick with the goat myself. Make yourself at home!

I agree with all the bro's advice, and like koz, think you have a great attitude towards it as well.
Hopefully you can influence some of the hand wringers we have lately.
I say give it a shot, if it's not to your liking you'll be right back to a 1 in a few days.
