I was just wondering what to do about razor burn. I was shaving this morning and at the lower part of my head by the neck I couldnt get it smooth so I went over it a couple times and wasnt able to get it smooth and now it burns and is alittle red and tender. What could I do about it? Should I give my head a break for a day or two or what?
Try not going over the area more than twice going over it multiple is a for sure way of getting irratation. If I were you I would take a day or two off from shaving.
Get some Bald Guyz Moisture Gel. It works good on razor burn.
Wipe the area with an astringent, hydrogen peroxide or witch hazel, then apply some after shave balm, my choice is Nivea Extreme--light aroma, comfort, and non-greasy.
Thanks for the help. What about ingrown hairs? I was talking to my brother about shaving and he said that since I just started shaving I shouldnt do it every day because I can get ingrown hairs due to my scalp not being adjusted to shaving, is that true and if so what do I do to prevent it?
A daily rub down w/ a loofa pad and soap in the shower, available at WalMart-about $2.50--will keep that problem away in my experience.
try shaving with conditioner ( you know as if you had hair) and for ingrown hairs try using head shed
