Photoshop help...

I'm trying to make a logo for my hobby business card... but I want the logo background to be transparent and I can't figure it out.  Can anyone guide me through it?

Thanks!

Let me see...

Go to File New and and Select Transparent on the Background Contents pulldown

Paste your logo image

select the color of the background and delete the selection

you'll end up with an image with no background

Let me know if that does it for you
Sincerely Bald,
Carlos

Rob if you want you can also use layers.  Make your background image its own layer and adjust the opac. of it

Ya also, if your image only has one layer and it is by default named 'background', you can right  click it and select layer properties, rename it and then copy/paste your image into the document which will automatically create a second layer, then select all (ctrl A) on the bottom layer and delete.
