hair removal strips
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:06:09 PM »
i was at CVS tonight and right next to the "bald guyz" and "headblade" products there were these 2 orange boxes (i cant remember the brand). one was hair removal strips for men (like waxing but apparently less painful) and one was hair removal cream.

i was reading the box to see if i could use either of them on my head and the box for the cream said in big bold letters "NOT FOR USE ON FACE OR HEAD" but the strips for some reason didnt have that warning. i was really tempted to get the strips and try em out but i cant tell if it looks worth it or not. it was like $15. it seems like if it worked well enough everyone would be using the product instead of shaving their head. im sorry i cant remember the name of the brand but does it sound familiar to anyone and does anyone know if it works?

ill try to find it on google and post a pic.

Ghost,

Do yourself a favor, don't waste your money on the strips or hair removal creams either. They just don't work, I tried the strips, with "no" results accept for the fact I was left with a sticky resadue on my head, and in my hair, which took a while to wash out, before I could use a blade again. Otherwise, the blade would have been clogged big time.

dont you have to grow your hair out like a quarter inch before you can use the strips?

Stay With the blade.  Ripping your hair out does not sound good to me! The strips might work on some other places on yourself... But I sure as heck wouldnt be pulling the hair on my head out with them.

Heck no, go for it. Just put all the strips on your head at one time.   Just have one person pull them all off at the same time.  ONE BIG YANK!  LOL

Dude, I would just keep shaving, sounds alot more fun than strippin it off.  Like you said, if it were worth it, I think someone else would have already tried it.

The act of a nice hot shave seems much better to me than the ripping out of hairs by the root......... NO THANKS!!
