Congrats on the decision.  It will be a big step, but don't be surprised if it's a non-event for your friends.  It sounds like you're already pretty close to bald already, so they may not have much of a reaction.  But you, YOU, are going to love it, I'm sure.  Ahhh, the excitement!
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Hey, Brad.  Welcome!  Just do it.  Your buddies will bust your chops...but underneath they will admire the fact that you have the stones to do it.  At first you'll be nervous, but the way to SLYness is to jump right in, bare the smooth pate, stand tall.  ENJOY the new look, sensations, and freedom from the withering mop.....and GIVE IT 30 DAYS!  You're on the verge of a whole new chapter.

Best Wishes,
Sly addict since July 22, 2007.

Thanks guys.  Tonight is the night.  My wife is being really cool and said that she wants to rub lotion on my head, after I shave.  She "suggested" that I hold off shaving until after the kids are in bed.  Rawr!  O0  My 6 year old daughter can't wait either.  She's been asking me to go bald for a few months.  Pretty cool, huh?

Anyways, I'm going out on the boat with my buddies on Sat morning.  So, it will be a quick test to see what they say.

I know that I'm new, but this forum has been a big help.  You guys are really cool and it is nice to see a bunch of guys being so supportive of each other.  I'll pass on the good will and give the same kind of support to other newbies.

Ordered my SBG shirt today.  I'm jumping in head first!

I'll post a pic this weekend.

Good luck on the transition to sly.  Sounds like you already have it licked with the wife and daughter behind you.  Way to go O0

Sounds like it could  be a really fun evening--don't forget to use sunscreen tomorrow when you show the shine to the world.  You're really, really going to like this, we promise O0.

The deed is done!!  That was very liberating.  I only nicked myself twice.  I'll make sure to take a picture tomorrow and upload it to the forum.

Thanks for your support guys!  I gotta tell you...My wife made a comment on the ride home from dinner that made me second guess the decision.  So, I pulled up this thread and read the comments.  It inspired me to go for it.  Thanks guys.

I guess by now Brad you're out on the boat with your buddies.
I bet some of them are jealous of your gleaming freshly shave head.
All that apprehension for nothing. Hold your head high and stand tall.
You've got the confidence to pull this new look off.

About that comment your wife made. Just let it roll off your shoulders.
She'll grow to love the bald you. And since today's Valentine's Day I bet she'll give your head a rub and a smooch.  :@`

Keeping it honest. Keep it bald and bold bro. O0

Congrats on the decision.  I'll bet your glad!

I understand what you mean about being the "bald guy."

But now, that's what will distinguish you.  Hope it went well today.
