SLY AND PROUD
« on: February 08, 2009, 04:51:06 AM »
I was at the mall with my kids Saturday. You can tell the guys who are sly and dealing with it. Then there were the bros who were sly and proud or just didn`t give a damn O0

I haven't really noticed any shaved-headed guys who I thought looked like they were feeling sheepish about it.  Maybe I'm just noting the shine and not the overall execution.  I'll pay attention better.

There may be a little uneasiness about wearing the look for a short while after the initial shave.  That's understandable.  But soon confidence builds and we are bald with pride!

I'm at the point where I would feel odd going out if I hadn't shaved the noggin.

most head shavers i see seem proud --  or maybe the better words are   "confident and natural" about their look.  ' Don't think i've ever seen anyone sheepish looking.   As we've seen in so many threads here; shaving your head is a BIG step; but once it's done, you've passed a threshhold;  you are in a special group; and have every right to be proud and confident

Tank, I agree.

Smooth and sly looks confident and proud.

Combover or island looks sheepish and desperate.

Bald and confident!

Ran into a sheepish guy at the store as I was coming around a corner, he had the short shaved horseshoe action going, he checked my shine, looked at me, visibly perked  up and had a determined smile.  hmmmm... another convert? O0

Saw one of the regulars at the gym this morning, he's been going shorter and shorter, and today--big change he'd gone to no guard.  I don't know him, except by sight as a regular, but I had to go by and say, "Nice haircut."  Wow, what a smile he had, it's really nice to see someone who has finally arrived at the logical choice when it comes to MPB.  I'm interested in seeing when he goes to the blade.

i feel you tank. Some of us need to embrace our baldness. Why does it have to be a negative?
Women are not less attracted to a bald man. They're less attracted to lack of confidence.
