While reading, and agreeing with, GASlicks comments about the cereal commercial I realized that there were others on tv that are just as annoying or ridiculous. One that I find personally annoying right now shows a variety of people who hold up signs with the amount they owe the IRS. They then hold up a sign to show the greatly reduced amount they had to pay thanks to the assistance of a slick law firm. This commercial drives me nuts. While none of us likes to pay taxes I find it personally insulting that someone who owes the government $2 million in taxes and only pays $100,000 is robbing me, the honest taxpayer. What is you least favorite or annoying commercial and why?

The one that bugs me the most right now is the one where a lady has lung cancer from smoking cigarettes. I don't smoke but both my wife and I think it's one of the most gross commercials that is out there and everytime it comes on we cringe. I guess, MSNBC had a discussion on it the other day as people from all over are complaining about it.....

Most of the recent Burger King ads have been really annoying. And the new Geico ads with a stack of money with eyes make no sense whatsoever.

One I can't stand is a local attorney commercial. Lady walks in her home and her husband is sitting on a couch, leg up in a cast. She asks what happened and he tells her he got hurt at work. She then proceeds to tell him they need to call "such and such attorneys." No mention if maybe HE did something STUPID to lead to his injury. Just dollar bills in her eyes as she's probably thinking of a way she can pay for the new hardwood floors she has been wanting.

Paul, I agree with you, WE only paid 100,000 on our taxes....please, they have no clue! LOL
There is a commerical in question right now that comes to mind. Seems like it should be one of those late night commericals but it is finding its way on air earlier and earlier everytime I see it.
Its the BOB commerical, This is BOB he is happy. Well there may come times where my kids see it and Logan will ask, who is Bob? And what does he take medicine for? Cheesiest damn commerical I have ever seen.

I hate the Loreal ads: 'Because you're worth it' and the ads for anti wrinkle cream with twenty year old girls saying they don't have any wrinkles because they use oil of olay

Good points Paul, and I agree on this one too Tim, very uncomfortable when your watching with mixed company or family.

Double ZING, Peripheral... sends a great message -- do as I say, not as I do. All of those Viagra type commercials drive me insane -- 'If an erection last longer than 4 hours...' Ugh! That just doesn't need to be on TV. I think we all know by now that if you have those kinds of problems, you can get help. We don't need to see it on TV during prime time family shows.

I don't know if anybody remembers some of the early Ragu commercials from back in the 60s. Some of these were so annoying that they kept people from getting to sleep. This was the result of studies done by ad firms where they found that the most annoying commercial was many times the most effective.
What they deduced was that if a person walked down the spagetti sauce aisle in their local grocery store and was having some difficulty deciding what sauce to get that the annoyance response when viewing the commercial would cause the person to remember the name of that specific product highlighted in the commercial over any of the others on the shelf. Ragu's sales went through the roof after this research was implemented.
Today, of the ones that I find annoying which is most of them, the "he went to Jared" commercials really pi$$ me off. The idea behind them, I think, is to get women thinking that they wish hubby was such a nice guy as the male model in the commercial. Now they're pi$$ed at their husband/boyfriend etc because he hasn't gone to Jared YET! And he's nowhere near as good looking. At the same time men have been conditioned to think that "uh-oh, my wife has seen the Jared commercial, I guess I better get my a$$ to Jared". And it's easy for these ad guys because they have a whole nation of consumers ready to believe that Jared is the answer to most of life's problems.

Most of the pharmaceutical commercials are annoying, not to mention the ones for feminine hygiene products, and remedies for curing diarrhea, vomiting, mucous, etc. You know, the ones that always come on when you're eating something.
The Travelocity Roaming Gnome is another one that I absolutely detest.

lmao..........turn off the damn tv when you are eating.

For me, the commercials I hate are the ones where they have to get ladies who are dressed inappropriately to sell their products. I am a straight guy but because of religious reasons I do not like such crap.
