PikPurf- I went to my first hockey game in about 10 years on Friday night.  We have a couple minor league (don't know the classification for pre-NHL??) teams in the Seattle area - and it was AWESOME.  I can see myself getting into a lot more.

Played amateur hockey for 13 years, love the sport.

GO SHARKS!

I try to go to a couple of Sharks games a year.  I'm finally starting to learn the rules!
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

cleveland doesnt have an NHL team so ive never been a fan. the only ohio city that has a pro hockey team is the Columbus Blue Jackets. Cleveland has the lake Erie Monsters but thats 1 division lower than NHL.

I am a proud Canadian but I don't watch hockey anymore.  Man, there is no point.  The stupid salary cap messed up everything.  I am a Toronto Maple Leafs fan and we have not made it to playoffs for the past 3 seasons. It's nonsense.   Toronto is the best city for hockey but yet cannot make it to playoffs but a team like Nashville could.
No offense to anyone in Nashville, but apparently there are times the referee wihstles for an icing and there are fans wondering why the referee whistled  :/O

If there are 8 teams that will make it to playoffs from the Eastern Conference then come on Toronto should be one of them.  BUt guess what, the salary cap ruined it man.  I will not watch hockey again.

The way the salary cap has set it up has provided another game in the game. No longer can you just throw money out the window and get whom ever you want (see baseball) you have to actually find the diamonds yourself and polish them, a true skill

I enjoy going to Blue Jackets games in Columbus.  I also am a regular at the Cincinnati Cyclones games.  Heck I have even made it up to Cleveland a couple of times this season.
