Best Hangover Food
« on: January 31, 2009, 11:48:01 PM »
Ok, so we all seem to love talking about food since the ethnic food post has 6 or more pages of posts by now.

What is your favorite hangover food?

I'd have to say I rotate between a greasy cheeseburger (usually from In-N-Out Burger), pizza, or a good burrito.  Though, ocassionally I'll go get some ramen.

What about you?

A traditional English fried breakfast:
Eggs
Sausages
Bacon
Mushrooms
Onions
Tomato
Fried bread
Washed down with a big mug of tea.

since i had a pretty bad hangover last week after the saliva show, i found a new one. surprisingly enough, salad worked wonders on my hangover that day. we went to ryans and all i could stomach looking at was salad. so i made myself eat one. felt alot better pretty quick. but normally it is some greasy burger or breakfast. we go eat at ihop or wafflehouse alot after we go out drinking. that usually helps.

No doubt about it for me, TOMATO SOUP.

It has been quite awhile since I've had one, but from what I remember any heavy breakfast food like bacon, sausage, or waffles were good.

Well I don't have them anymore but back in the day when I did...a big greasy sausage, egg omlet with toast seemed to help O0

As brother Chet once said in "Wierd Science"..."How about a nice, big, greasy pork sandwich served in a dirty ashtray?".

I'd have to go with Stumpy Dave on this....pass on the fried bread and switch out the tea for coffee and I'm on board with that.  O0

Hey PBurke...........salad???

Salad would actually make sense due the fact that your body is pretty much robbed of its nutrients when you drink enough to get a hangover.  The veggies would help replish these.

I also like to get an Acai smoothie from Jamba Juice.

Well....let's see....upon awaking at Paul's in Chicago this past July, I cracked a cold Guinness and followed that by 2 or 3 more.   Then Paul and I (maybe Nomad) enjoyed a shot of Tullamore Dew before hitting the road BACK to Nutties for a bloody mary and some left over pizza.

tell me I'm lyin  :x!

I had to catch a cab back to O'Hare before the afternoon festivities of Cajun goodies, courtesy of Paulie.  :'(

Here's a pic right before I departed:

Haven't had a bad one since I started downing a B150 tablet before bed if I've been having more than a few shots or hard booze or wine.  I used to get tremendous help from a packet of miso soup or a ham and eggs breakfast.
