Having read many of the posts extolling the wonders of having a barbershop head shave (mainly for the relaxation of it) I have searched high and low for a barber that is willing to do it; so far to no avail! It seems, according to more than one barber, that the State, the Man (probably with hair!!!), has deemed it unsafe and such. Does anyone know about this? The only place around the Stockton area that does it is the Barber College Iiiiiii am not real sure if I want someong "practicing" on my nog. Has anyone heard about restrictions in the Golden State re: head shaves??? One barber, lets call him "Bill" because that is his name, actually had the eggs to tell me that people are not shaving thier heads anymore. What a numb nut! Anybody heard anything?

OK Michael, here's the deal. Get yourself to San Francisco to Joe's Barber Shop:

Jeff will give you a straight razor headshave. He is the only one in that shop that uses a straight razor.
Caveat: Joe's is in the heart of The Castro, so the razor is the only thing that is straight in the shop.
I had a headshave from Jeff back in October and recommend him.
