:) If you want to suggest real passion, try the duet between Mario and Floria Tosca in the first act of Puccini's opera of the same name. It soars. There are many good versions; one of the best is with Renata Tebaldi and Mario dell Monaco. The duets in "La Boheme" are also sure to express romantic love. Cioa, Professor Melon

thankyou Professor, I may just put a little something for everyone on there.  :)

Scorpions, "Still Loving You"

Genesis, "Follow you, will you follow me"

Now we're talking Mr Robmeister!!
I quite like Genesis, but I love Phil Collins, he has wrote and sung some awesome songs!  :-*

In keeping with the theme of love, (c'mon guys' Valentines day is just around the corner, now you've all been reminded, none of you have any excuse not to make the day special for your 'better' (in some cases  ;)) halves!!  :P)
I need help finding a really romantic love song, which I want to put on my myspace profile..any suggestions?

How about Die With Your Boots On by Iron Maiden (the "Piece of Mind" CD). That always brought a tear to my eye.

And if that doesn't work (can't understand why it wouldn't), an incredibly romantic song is called "Take Good Care of Me" by Johnathan Butler. It's off his 1986 self-titled CD. GUARANTEED WINNER.

Oh my god, you guys! What kind of songs are these!? She asked for love songs. There's better
and more suitable stuff out there.

MagmaBabe, if you want a real lovesong that warms your heart and gets you in a sentimental and
mushy mood, then you've got to go with the classics, not with the contemporary stuff.

Here are a couple of excellent choices:

- Etta James "At Last"
- Etta James "My Funny Valentine"
- Etta James "How do you speak to an Angel"
- Nina Simone "My Baby Just Cares for Me"
- Nina Simone "Here comes the sun"
- Nat King Cole "Stardust"

Just to name but a new.

If you want to find true love songs with character and soul, you've got to
go back a few decades in time. Today's Playstation generation doesn't know sh*t...('xcuse my French)

Happy Valentines Day. :)

That particular J. Butler CD oozes romance. Other songs on that CD that would be guaranteed winners for the dreded V-Day include "Lovesongs, Candlelight, & You", "Say We'll Be Together" and "One More Dance".

You'll thank me later.

Actually, I think it's a pretty bad idea asking a bunch of shaven testorone-driven man
to choose a love song. I mean, MagmaBabe, what were you thinking?! ;D

Haha, yeah, you're right, I don't think I was!!  ;)
Obviously Harry, you have fine taste in music...Etta James - At Last is now on my music player, and added to my favourites, thanks for that!!
I'm not sure what I'll put on there on the day though...but I have added a couple of videos from Youtube, thanks to the professor and Pigpen (although I'm not really a Dolly/Kenny fan, but I want a little something for everyone  :))

Men, take note, if that's how you lot seduce your women, I'm surprised you're not all single!! PMSL!!!   :*))

Hey MBabe, I have a personal guarantee.
If you buy the Butler CD and don't like it, you can send it to me and I'll reimburse you for the cost & shipping. My copy is a cassette (yes, I did own this) and was going to buy it anyway.

A girl I was dating at the time turned me on (pun intended) to Butler and he is awesome.

My wife made the comment the other day while watching a movie that I do not have a romantic bone in my body. I agreed, then she asked why she even married me. To which I responded, "Cause I knocked ya up" We had a good laugh and I've been "cut-off" ever since, or so she tells me.

I think I'm catching a cold......must be the medicine, it's like truth serum. wow

I think all men have a "romantic bone" in their body.  Our definition of romance is just a little different.   >:D
