Hello from NZ
« on: January 21, 2009, 02:42:44 AM »
G'day to everyone here,

So I was doing a little searching and you guys just happened to pop up so here I'm.  Quick intro, I've just turned 23 and have a receding hairline (fancy that) I've had my hair as short as the clipper blade before but this was just once and it was spur of the moment (one of the flatmates pulled out the clippers and I thought what the hell!?).  I had varying comments on it so wasn't to sure and just let it grow back.

Well I've come to the point where I'm gonna do it again, I'm sick of waking up and wondering what my hair looks like, or going to the pub and having a mate grab ya by the head, scruffing ya 'hair' than wondering what the hell it looks like, I'm sick of not being able to wear a hat to a mates or the rugby etc if I'm going out after as I don't wanna mess up my 'hair style' and on it goes..   Hah these probably seem kinda lame right?

So anyhow I'm gonna trim it first to just a clipper blade than after a week or so depending on whether I'm happy with it I may go the whole hog, we'll wait for that though.  I'll post a before pic here sometime this week, still a little nervous about doing it to be honest but you guys seem like a good bunch so hopefully by next week I'll be on the way :)

Cheers

Welcome here, NZboy!

Glad you found us.

If you want give it a try and buzz your hair short til no guard and then take a blade and do the deed!  O0

On this site you'll find much advice, and like Mike wrote, feel free to ask.

Where in NZ do you live?

My wife and me had a wonderful trip over the Northern island last November. We saw many bald guys there. It's a usual look in Kiwiland.

Enjoy your summer.

Welcome aboard NZ.  When you are ready to take the leap, you'll have plenty of support here.  And as Mike said, any questions, just ask away

We stayed 2 days in Napier and went with the Gannet Adventurer to Cape Kidnapper. Very beautiful birds!

NZboy ~  Welcome aboard.  Give 'er a go w/ the clippers.  A short buzz is the beginning of the answer to hairloss.  The final answer is to scrape that melon!

Ok...you're got the idea of being bald in your head..

bro you wont be satisfied till your hair is totally gone...trust me (us)..

go for it bro...it'll look great and give you a nice edge!

I say go for the slick shave though..life is short..
