Headlube glossy/ matte????
« on: January 20, 2009, 11:19:26 AM »
I have samples of both products. I like them both but after reading the ingredients they seem to hugely different . Which one benefits the shaved head more??? I'm thinking personally the matte. An hour after applying the matte I seem glossy anyhow !!!

Wow, I've never heard of it burning guys heads.  I'm glad that doesn't happen to me since I like that matte look.

I like the glossy but the lube always feels greasy to me when I use it. I think the Nivea after shave balm gives me a better shine anyway and it doesn't have that greasy feel... ;)

I bought some of the Matte, but it didn't do as much for the Matte look as leave my head feeling greasy and since it had no spf factor I didn't see any benefit.  I bought it to see if the matte look would help w/ the wife accepting the sly look.  That didn't work either.  So it sits with the unfinished can of hair spray and other things that didn't work out in the cabinet beneath my sink.

MS - if you're looking for something that will benefit the scalp, I reccommend the Matte For Men cleansing cloths.  In the morning, I just use some nivea after shave, by the time lunch rolls around, my scalp is oily.  I use the one of those cloths, my dome feels fresh, and there's a natural shine.

Hi there.. it is my first post in here so hello to everybody :D

regarding this glossy thing..is there any product that will keep it in the matte state ?? Glossy does not look nice to me as it gets oily after some time and I need to wash my head under the tap to get rid of this .

Wassssap Darek.
Your head will most likely get oily regardless - your best bet might be to keep it clean, then apply some baby powder or man powder to keep the shine down.

There are three products - HeadLube Matte, Matte for Men, and Dome Defense.
