KING OF SHAVES ALPHA OIL
« on: January 17, 2009, 04:04:07 PM »
I picked up a bottle. The first thing that hit was how small the bottle was(0.5oz).The tag says you can get over 100shaves from one bottle.I used 5drops and rub it in my head real good.It has a nice mint smell, but not real powerful.I played it safe and used it under my shaving cream.I got a nice close shave ,with no nicks or cuts.I paid about 7bucks for one bottle. If you truly can get over a 100 shaves, that is not bad.I will finish the bottle out,but I don`t think I will buy anymore.Only because I get the same shave with baby oil which is cheaper.

You might want to give Shave Secret shaving oil a try if you haven't already. It is a lot cheaper and works better than baby oil , ( for me anyways ) as I tried baby oil last week and the shave wasn't even close compared to the Shave Secret. I know different products work differently for some people so whatever works for you , stick with it !!    O0

Shaving Oil: KOS vs Shave Secret
« Reply #6 on: January 25, 2009, 05:12:30 PM »
About 3 days after I decided to go sly, I was on the internet and this forum came up during a Google search. Thank goodness for Google.  W0*

Since then, the wealth of information that has been shared here (as I'm sure most will agree) has been extremely educational, as well as absolutely eye-opening!   :o

My first intro to shaving oil was KOS.  Great oil, - served its purpose but the razor didn't glide as much as I would have liked it too.  Saw a number of posts on here concerning SHAVE SECRET, tried it out, and now I am sold on it.   O0    O0    O0

The smell doesn't bother me, because I took the advice of many of you, and use use it in combination with my shaving gel. Keeps the ol' noggin slick long afterwards.  Will keep my KOS, as a back-up, just in case I run low on the other, but I wanted to thank all you guys for sharing your product knowledge, trial and tribulations, experiences and suggestions.

I've had Shave Secret setting in my cabinet for like.. a year. I tried it out, didn't like it, and put it up. I had forgotten about it until reading some posts on here yesterday. So, I got it back out and tried it under my Headslick, and I can't figure out why I didn't like it before! It really did give me a nice smooooooooth shave.

I can't believe how much my routine has changed in the past month or so. I had gotten sloppy with my head shaves, but after returning to SBG I got myself back in line!

Shave Secret shaving oil
« Reply #12 on: January 26, 2009, 12:41:43 PM »
Wally-Mart seems to be the most accessible retail store that has the Shave Secret shaving oil.

Inexpensive enough that you can purchase a few bottles (if you wish) without having to resort to crackin' open "Mr. Piggy Bank."

This way you're good for quite a while.

I think it is also available online.

Never thought about TARGET, Mike. They might.

Damn -was there today too. Didn't think about lookin! (Usually, when I'm at any of these type stores, i go huntin' down the shave aisle, just to see if anything catches my eye.  :o

But today was a bit different. My wife didn't bring her cell phone with her, and she went one way and I went the other, and  -yep- you guessed it  - Murphy's Law kicked into play...I spent about  an hour to an hour and a half looking for her.  :x!  (Bang! Zoom!)

Will think about checkin' it out on next visit!
