I'm not sure if I belong here but thought I'd give it a try. Yeah, I'm one of those guys that has shaved his head a few times and grew it out. I'm considering doing it again. I currently sport a flattop if you haven't figured that out. The first time I shaved my head was in 2005 near the end of July, I kept it shaved for around three months, and really liked it, before I grew it back out to the flattop. The second time was in May of 2006 and I only kept it shaved for one week before letting it grow back out to a flat. For some reason I didn't like the way I looked with a shaved head the second time around. I guess that I'm looking for moral support and some suggestions. Does anyone here know how to get a real high shine that looks like glass or a freshly waxed floor? Also is there anyone from SW Idaho around that might consider doing the first shave for me? I know I can do it myself and I could also go to a barber but I always have second thoughts and I can't see paying for something that I can do myself.

Welcome to the site Dave. I am in Northeastern Washington and I think there is a member or two in Idaho. I use the ice cube method and alittle baby oil most of the time. Also there is headlube glossy, not sure if thats the exact name or not. Be sure to check the other parts of the forum, there are tips on head shaving and products and such.
Hope you enjoy it here.

Welcome Dave..the thing about having a bald head is you have to want it..cool you go between shaved head then flattop..it should be what YOU want at the time!
I say if you're wantin' to shave it clean bro..the flattop will only be a couple months away!

I use pure 100% pure natural aloe vera, after the ice cube treatment. I do not think it is that shiny but everyone that approaches me says "WOW Look at the gloss level on that noggin" Do you buff it? I wouldnt go out and spend a bunch of money on different stuff, but I would suggest trying a few different items that we all have mentioned here. Good Luck and Welcome to the forum.

No big playing barber...clipper/mach 3 /shaving cream..easy for an expert

to date I've shaved 3 bro's heads..(all newbies, all BBC)...
only one of them has stayed a "lifer"
