One advantage I've already experienced since becoming sly is that I feel as if I'm a part of a brotherhood or fraternity with other guys who headshave.  I work as a shipping/receiving supervisor at a grocery store, and the Budweiser delivery guy is sly, and as soon as I started shaving my head, we instantly had something in common to talk about.  The first day I was bald, we had a 20 minute conversation about shaving, which none of the haired guys I work with understood what we were talking about. 

It's the same thing I experienced when I started my cigar smoking hobby.  As soon as I find out somebody is a cigar guy, it turns into at least a 20 minute conversation about cigars.  I've so far found sly guys to be the same way.

Modest.... you guys crack me up! Sly is it!  It crosses culture, color, and even gender.  I can see some rough and tough biker dude (which I would like to be when I grow up!!) and we share "the nod."  The Nod is the universal greeting of all Sly uber-males!  If I feel the bond I might even whisper, so as to not offend nor piss-off..."Nice haircut."  I always get the response, "I like yours too."  And as for gender, saw a gal while camping who was undergoing chemo.  She kept herself locked in her tent while her family (parents and kids) where off and about.  Now I understand she was feeling ill and weak.... but when she saw me... she smiled and started to come out of her self imposed shyness to talk with me and mine.  There is most definantly a sub-cultural thing going on here! O0

I am noticing that too.  Other bald guys are always the ones that seem to comment most on my sly dome.  The guys who wear the horseshoes have given the negative reactions while the shaved guys have given the positive reactions.  I wonder what is up with that.

It is a great brotherhood to be a part of.  Definitely a way to "break the ice" with other guys who are shaved.
